These poetic photographs capture not just the outer appearances of things, but their inner emotional significance. Enchanted Journeys of Desire series dives deep into the topics of self-discovery and desires with a surrealist twist. Each work is a portal to a world where enthralled characters intertwine with invisible forces on a quest for the transformative journey. Their curiosity, longings and desires (for change, lightness, solitude, freedom etc) unfold in front of us like a delicate flower in bloom. Through the movement and predominantly in-camera techniques, Nika creates characters full of magic and cinematic mystery. She captures an introspective odyssey, where the settings mirror the internal mindscapes of yearning souls. Each work has a story behind it, but is also open to the viewer's interpretation.
